Rocky Balboa's (Sylvester Stallone) Signed Boxing Gloves from the 1982 Sylvester Stallone sports sequel, Rocky III. In the film, Rocky is trained by former opponent Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) after he is defeated by the ruthless challenger Clubber Lang (Mr. T).
These gloves come from Rocky's final confrontation with Clubber Lang towards the end of the film. Made by Tuf-Wear, these red gloves are padded with foam and covered in leather. They secure with laces that are threaded up to the users palm. Both gloves include tags stitched onto the wrist from Tuf-Wear, as well as Sylvester Stallone's signature on the right glove, and "Rocky III" written on the left glove, both in black marker. This item was originally sold through a charity auction in 1982 Sidney, Nebraska. They were donated to the auction by the manufacturer, Tuff-Wear.
These gloves feature minor wear from production use and age, including a tiny scrape in the leather, and well as a small abrasion on the bottom of the left glove (see photos). They each measure approximately 6.5" x 5.5" x 11" (17cm x 14cm x 28cm) and remain in overall very good condition, and include original documentation from the manufacturer, Tuff-Wear.
