This is a police badge used in the production of the second of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight. Billionaire Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) has become a hero to his city as his alter-ego Batman, but has lost the woman he loves to aspiring District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart). The emergence of a new threat brings the two men together, but can justice prevail against a force so chaotic as The Joker (Heath Ledger)?

This badge was created by the production for use on the uniform shirt of a Gotham City Police Officer. It is a plastic plate that has "City of Gotham Police Department Founded 1820" printed on it. Above the badge are six plastic campaign ribbons. The badge and ribbons are attached to a black plastic card. There is a large safety pin glued on to the back.
