This item is a Detective Monthly magazine from the 2007 mystery thriller The Number 23, starring Jim Carrey. As the mystery unfolds Walter (Carrey) is informed that the book he is obsessing over in fact, was written by him. To prove it Walter's wife Agatha (Virginia Madsen) shows him the contents of the box from the Institute which is filled with varies items including the manuscript of The Number 23, with Walter's name on it, as well as a set of Detective Monthly magazines with the same headlines as the stories told by Fingerling in the book.

Believed to have been created custom for the film this 98 page Shiram & Plath's Detective Monthly Magazine features a "Who Killed The Window Dobkins" headline with an illustration of a dead blood covered woman and a silhouetted murderer. The front cover also features an edition date of February 3rd, 1949, Vol. 6, No. 3. The contents of the magazine range from featured detective stories to headshots and rewards for fugitives. Due to production distressing and use this item displays some light wear but overall remains in excellent condition. This piece measures approximately 11" x 8.5" (28cm x 22cm.)
